Financial services marketing has to do three things at once.

It has to explain something complex, build trust quickly and give people a reason to choose you. And that's no easy task.

Products can be technical. Regulation constrains what you can say. Different audiences need different levels of detail. And the safest language is often the least persuasive language.

The result looks like websites and marketing collateral full of generic claims and disclaimers, thought leadership so middle of the road it leads nothing, and technically correct content that gives no one a clear reason to act.

That’s exactly where we come in.

We help financial services organisations turn complex expertise into clear positioning, persuasive content and stronger authority with clients, prospects and AI systems.

The result is compliant content that earns trust and gives people a reason to choose you.

When clients call us

When financial services organisations get in touch

Most clients come to us when something important has changed, become harder to explain, or needs to be communicated more clearly.

A new product, new launch or new regulations

A launch, merger, acquisition or regulatory shift has changed their offering or what they can say. We give them the words that connect to customers while still complying with the law.

The website gives no one a reason to go forward

It's organised around internal teams and product categories, not the customer. We restructure pages and write the content so people understand, trust and take the next step.

Their messaging doesn’t capture what they’re really about

The business is great but the message to the market is underwhelming. We position them properly and articulate the differences that really set them apart.

They're experts in their field, but that's not coming through

Their people know the market, products, risks and opportunity, but their content is cautious, indecipherable or interchangeable. We provide throught leadership content that actually leads.

There's plenty of content and no strategy behind it

Articles, emails, videos and podcasts keep falling on deaf ears. We work out who the content needs to reach, what they need to know and which ideas are worth pursuing.

They're using AI but it's lowering the standard

They want AI's productivity gains, but not at the cost of accuracy, compliance, judgement or the organisation’s voice. We give them the tools to use AI efficiently, safely and on brand.

Why financial services clients choose Antelope Media

The people you meet do the work

No juniors learning the account. No account managers relaying the brief. The experienced people you speak with at the start stay involved in the thinking, writing and decisions all the way through.

You only explain things once

Drop us into a complex product, an unfamiliar market or a room full of specialists. We get across the subject quickly, ask useful questions and work out what matters. You don't have to keep bringing someone new up to speed.

Strategy doesn't disappear

The people who help work out what to say also write the website, thought leadership or campaign. The reasoning survives into the final words, including the detail that has to stand up to product, legal and compliance review.

Some of the financial services organisations we’ve worked with

What financial services clients say about our work

“What a solid piece. Great work! A lot of depth and breadth from my perspective.”
Alice Nguyen, Macquarie Capital
“These ideas are great, they’re all strong and very relevant.”
Lara De Bruyne, Investor Relations & Marketing, Skyring Investments
“This is awesome... you’ve captured what we’re looking to achieve with our content marketing – e.g. talking about the asset class, then offering our product as a solution. We’re quite guilty of selling in the product without trying to make it relevant to the audience beyond high-level benefits (cost and income). So, this is great.”
Robyn Johnston, Head of Marketing, ANZ ETFS

How an engagement runs

We get across the product, the audience and the constraints before we start writing.

Brief & scope

We agree what the work needs to achieve, who needs to be involved, what we’ll deliver and what it will cost.

Get across it

We review your source material and speak with the people who know the subject. We get up to speed quickly, so you don’t have to explain everything twice.

Agree the direction

We work out what the audience needs to understand, what you can credibly say and how the content should be structured before we draft.

Write & refine

The senior people who shaped the approach write the content. We check the detail, work through feedback and keep the strategy intact as the words change.

Approval & rollout

We help get the content into shape for your channels and review process. Your team signs off on the final wording, claims and disclosures before publication.

We’re happy to sign an NDA before you share sensitive material. We work with your marketing, product, legal and compliance teams as needed, and nothing is published without your approval.

Common questions from financial services organisations

Who does the work, how we handle complex subjects and what we’ve actually delivered.

What does a financial services marketing consultant do?

A financial services marketing consultant helps banks, funds, insurers and other providers work out what to say, who needs to hear it and how to communicate it clearly within a regulated environment. That can involve positioning, content strategy, customer communications, website content and thought leadership.

At Antelope Media, we focus on the strategy and words. We get across the product, find the strongest message it can genuinely support and develop content that helps people understand it and decide what to do next.

Who will actually work on our project?

The senior people you meet do the work. Antelope Media’s financial services projects are led by Ralph Grayden and Emma Sorensen, who remain involved from the initial thinking through to the final words. You won’t brief a senior consultant and then have the work passed to an account manager or junior writer.

Can you get across a complex financial product quickly?

Yes. We’re used to being dropped into unfamiliar products, markets and specialist conversations. We read the source material, speak directly with your experts and ask the questions needed to find the point that matters to the audience. You shouldn’t have to spend weeks teaching us how to be useful.

That approach has taken us from retirement decisions for super fund members to infrastructure finance and emerging energy technologies, and from super fund positioning to fixed-income investor content.

How do you work with legal, risk and compliance teams?

Ralph Grayden practised commercial law before becoming a strategist and writer. That background changes how we approach financial content: we look closely at what a claim says, what it might imply and what evidence is needed to support it. We can speak directly with your product specialists and work through detailed legal and compliance feedback without losing the point of the piece.

Your teams approve the final claims and disclosures. Our role is to give them clear, well-reasoned content to review, then make the agreed changes without turning it into something nobody wants to read.

Have you done work like ours?

Our financial services work spans different audiences and decisions. We developed a practical financial wellness program for Macquarie banking customers, built a retirement journey for Russell Investments members and repositioned and rewrote Resource Super’s website.

We’ve also produced technical thought leadership for Macquarie Capital and developed an ongoing editorial approach for Skyring Investments. Each case study explains the problem, our role and what the work produced.

Do you develop financial services content strategy, or just write the content?

Both. Content strategy establishes which audiences matter, what they need to understand, which subjects are worth pursuing and how individual pieces should work together. Copywriting turns that direction into the words people actually encounter.

We can also develop the articles, guides and campaigns that put a strategy into practice. The same senior people can stay with the work from the initial decisions through to publication, so the thinking doesn’t disappear at handover.

Can you work with confidential material, and do you use AI?

We regularly work with unpublished product information, draft communications and specialist interviews. We’re happy to sign an NDA and follow your organisation’s access and review requirements. Confidential material doesn’t go into public AI tools.

We use AI selectively for supporting tasks, with human review. Strategy, messaging, specialist thought leadership and other Critical Content are led and settled by experienced people. We can also train your team to use AI within clear confidentiality and verification boundaries.

How much does it cost, and how long does it take?

We agree a scope and fixed fee before starting. The cost depends on the research, interviews, deliverables and review process, so we’ll give you a clear quote once we understand the job.

A focused article can often move from briefing to final draft in one to two weeks. A messaging strategy, content program or website takes longer. If you have a launch or reporting deadline, we’ll work backwards from it and tell you what can realistically be delivered and approved in time.
